This project explored context and meaning through the spatial and typographic articulation of Virginia Woolf’s ‘A Room of One’s Own’. How does reading a book translate into reading through the body, moving through space while interacting with different scales of type and light? This particular corner with windows was selected because the light in the space was constantly changing throughout the day and night. The objective was to make the audience engage with the content through space and type and to recontextualize and communicate Virginia Woolf’s idea to a contemporary audience. The physical space and typography were to offer a creative space for the audience to contemplate what a room of one’s own might be.
